Vice President Of Accounting
We're on the hunt for a Vice President of Accounting who can turn numbers into a symphony of strategic success. This role is all about leading our finance team to new heights, collaborating with the Director of Accounting, and shaping the company's financial destiny.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Maestro : Craft and execute financial strategies that align with our growth objectives, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Reporting Virtuoso : Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, from monthly to annual, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Risk Wrangler : Identify and mitigate financial risks, including those pesky tax, currency, and regulatory compliance challenges.
- Internal Control Maestro : Establish and maintain a fortress of internal controls to protect company assets and stay on the right side of the regulatory line.
- Team Leader Extraordinaire : Provide guidance and direction to the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Audit and Compliance Conductor : Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with financial reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Tax Planning Maestro : Work hand in hand with tax advisors to develop tax strategies that optimize our tax position while staying on the straight and narrow of the law.
- Process Improviser : Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Cross-functional Collaborator : Work closely with other departments to support business initiatives and strategic objectives.

Requirements
CPA Certification : Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with active licensure.Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.Experience : Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. Prior experience in manufacturing and / or construction industries is highly desirable.Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.Leadership Skills : Proven track record of effectively leading and developing high-performing teams.Analytical Abilities : Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Strategic Thinking : Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall business strategy.Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting.Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
