Seeking a motivated Entry-Level Engineer to support our client’s technical team in a hands-on contract role based in Lisle. This position offers valuable exposure to engineering validation processes, with responsibilities including test sample preparation, test execution, data collection, and support with technical documentation and analysis.

Ideal candidates are recent engineering graduates or students seeking practical, lab-based experience in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract opportunity with an expected duration of 3 to 6 months, with potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation of test samples according to established procedures and specifications
• Set up and operate testing equipment (i.e., tensile testers, hardness testers, electrical hipot testers)
• Perform routine testing using laboratory equipment and tools under supervision
• Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support engineers with troubleshooting test setups and interpreting results
• Document procedures, observations, and outcomes in technical reports
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment in compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of project tasks
