Purpose and Scope :

The Electrician is responsible for building, testing and maintaining AC and DC power systems in the telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures all required paperwork is submitted to complete jobs daily.
  • Ensures safe transportation of personnel and material to and from remote job sites daily.
  • Ensures all Federal, State and local laws are followed at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with both company and customer policies at all times.
  • Installs, troubleshoots and removes battery power systems, batteries, A panels, transformers, generators, alarms and various interconnect / transport equipment.
  • Troubleshoots power plant, transformer and generator systems.
  • Properly removes and installs various battery systems and performs basic preventative maintenance in cellular sites.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, as required.
  • All other duties as required.

Skills / Other :

  • Basic time management and organizational skills required.
  • Schedule flexibility, with work dependent upon need, regardless of time of day or day of week.
  • Able to travel (locally).

    • Education / Training :

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, required.
  • California Electrical Certification a plus.
  • Working knowledge and / or understanding of low voltage.
  • Ability to comprehend a detailed scope of work (SOW).

    • Experience :

  • 4 years of experience.
  • Generator experience in T-Mobile & AT&T generators.
  • Willing to be a team player.
  • Alarm experience.
  • Willing to travel out of town often.

    • Compensation : $35-38 / hr
