Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Medical Sonographer with at least 1 year of specialty experience, ARDMS registry, and BLS certification for an evening shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Ultrasonography department within a hospital setting
  • Evening 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for diagnostic purposes
  • Uses Epic EMR system for charting
  • Obtain patient history and informed consent and review protocols prior to exam
  • Assess patient status, perform diagnostic tests, and intervene based on findings
  • Ensure quality images and accurate documentation for physician review
  • Maintain exam room and equipment, report service issues, and order supplies as needed
  • Participate in quality initiatives focused on patient care and workflow
  • Coordinate effective communication and handoffs between shifts
  • Evening shift dress code or scrub requirements not specified

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in ultrasound / sonography required
  • Associate’s Degree required
  • ARDMS registry required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Active license required if applicable
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
