Overview

Technical Product Architect (Salesforce) - Information Officer, based in Washington, DC, United States, to lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that drive strategic business outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions that align with IFC's strategic objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with WBG Enterprise Architecture Team and the Office of Information Security to ensure Salesforce solutions adhere to architectural principles, security policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into robust technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Provide deep technical expertise on Salesforce best practices, including data modeling, integration patterns, and platform optimization.
  • Stay abreast of Salesforce platform updates and industry trends, proactively recommending innovative solutions.
  • Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Drive adoption of modern Salesforce development and operational practices, including CI / CD, automated testing, version control, release management, Agile and DevSecOps, and monitoring / incident management.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Selection Criteria

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of IT experience, including 5+ years of Salesforce experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Proven expertise in Salesforce architecture, multi-cloud implementations, and integration with ERP and data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and REST / SOAP APIs.
  • Strong understanding of architecture principles, security frameworks, and data governance with experience working with security and architecture teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Git, Copado, or Gearset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences.
  • Current certifications required (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, System Architect); multiple certifications are a strong advantage.
