Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry

Location : Lima, OH

Assignment Details :

Duration : 13 Weeks

Positions : 1 Open (1 Total)

Shift Information : Shift Type : Nights

Shift Times : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM

Hours / Day : 12

Schedule : 36-hour guarantee

Weekend Requirement : Every Other Weekend

On-Call : No

Float : May float to all units within skill level as needed

Job Description

Functioning within the organization’s mission, vision, and policies, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care during the assigned shift. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-appropriate criteria. The RN applies clinical judgment, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice while providing safe and effective care.

The RN also assists in planning, directing, and mentoring non-RN staff, including LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on clinical standards.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition using critical thinking and clinical judgment.
  • Administer and titrate cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex).
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry; identify abnormal rhythms and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Identify signs and symptoms of stroke and act promptly.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain strong communication and teamwork skills.

    • Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience – Required
  • Certifications :
  • BLS (AHA) – Required
  • ACLS (AHA) – Required
  • NIHSS – Required
  • Licensure : Active Ohio RN License – Required
  • Additional : Must demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance.

    Traveler (W2) :

  • Hourly Rate : $60.00
  • Weekly Gross : $2,160.00
  • Taxable : $918.00
  • Non-Taxable Stipend : $1,242.00

    • Traveler (1099) :

  • Hourly Rate : $64.00
  • Weekly Gross : $2,304.00
