Job Summary And Qualifications

Theessential functions of theRegistered Nurseposition include :

Performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act

Use therapeutic communication in daily practice

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment

Plan,implementand direct care using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of the individual patient

Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choicesregardinghealthcare

Promote an environment that treats patients and families with dignity, respect and appreciation of their lifestyle,religionand culture

Maintain quality, age specific care for newborn, pediatric,adolescentand adult patients as assigned

Proactively advocate for patients and consistently education patients / families throughout the continuum of care

Delegate tasks to theappropriate levelof staff

Provide supervision of new employees, vocational nurses, nurse assistants, student nurses, nurse externs / interns

What qualifications you will need :

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

(RN) Registered Nurse

Associate Degree

Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date

Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Our main campus is a Level III Trauma Center. We provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services. We offer general surgery, orthopedics and women's services. Additionally, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center.
