Position Description : The Garnishment Specialist will compile, record, and process payroll data. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks. Position Responsibilities : Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
\tProcess and Maintain payroll data such as :
\tChild Support Orders
\tGarnishments
\tLevies
\tIncome Withholdings
\tTimely set up all deductions pertaining to any court order.
\tRespond to Wage Summons, Interrogatories, etc.
\tHandle and respond to phone calls regarding any court order from the Courts, Attorneys or Employees.
\tEnsure the proper deduction amount is withheld from employee pay checks.
\tHandle light bookkeeping responsibilities.
\tBalance and tie out Garnishment Withholding deductions
\tReviews and immediately respond (within 24 hours of receipt) to all cases assigned in Salesforce.
\tImmediately responds (within 24 hours of receipt) to all client inquiries.
\tTimely (by deadline) responds to all income withholding notices and helps prepare for hearings.
\tAssist with Scanning projects, when applicable.
\tAssist or manage Garnishment Check reconciliation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : GARNISHMENT SPECIALIST - Position Requirements
Requirements include but are not limited to :
\tHigh School Diploma or equivalent
\t0-2 years Garnishment / Payroll experience
\tExperience in PEO (Professional Employer Organization) preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
\tPRISM software experience preferred (but not required)
\tFluent in English and Spanish preferred (bilingual not required)
\tEffective communication, both verbal and written
\tAttention to detail
\tHighly organized
\tAnalytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
\tTime management
\tAbility to effectively multi-task
\tInterpersonal skills
\tKnowledge of federal and state payroll regulation and requirements.
\tMaintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
\tGeneral knowledge of Internet navigation and research, email, fax transmissions, phone communication, and copy equipment.
\tProficient in Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
\tSalesforce experience preferred but not required.
