The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Studio Assistant to provide hands-on assistance with material and room preparation, set-up, program facilitation, and clean-up for Studio and Youth and Family Programs. In addition, Studio Assistants may also provide technology support during virtual studio classes for adults and children.
Responsibilities
Youth and Family Programming
CMA offers a wide variety of youth and family programming. Studio Assistants will help to engage family audiences in social artmaking and community-building creative experiences at CMA. Studio Assistants will communicate gracefully and tactfully with visitors, colleagues, and staff from other community partners and facilitators. Studio Assistants will be thoughtful and encouraging in their approach, modeling play and experimentation with materials and topics related to the CMA’s permanent collection and special exhibitions.

Requirements and Key Competencies
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a valid driver’s license or other official form of identification. Experience with studio art, art education, and working with the public, including school-aged children preferred. University students enrolled in studio, art history, or art education programs are encouraged to apply.
The employee must also be able to communicate effectively and work successfully with others.
Hourly wage : $15.00 / hour / working 15 hours a week
