We’re seeking a 6th Grade Math Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year .
As a math educator at STEM Prep, you’ll go beyond formulas and equations, helping students uncover the “why” behind the numbers through hands-on exploration, inquiry-based lessons, and real-world applications.

What You’ll Do Deliver Engaging Instruction :
- Teach a rigorous, college-prep math curriculum aligned with Common Core and Tennessee State Standards.
Make Learning Meaningful :
Design inquiry-based lessons that connect mathematical concepts to everyday life and STEM pathways.Differentiate for All Learners :
Implement ELL and Exceptional Education accommodations to ensure all students access and master grade-level content.Lead with Equity & Inclusion :
Create a classroom culture where every student feels challenged, supported, and celebrated for their growth.Collaborate & Grow :
Partner with fellow educators to plan instruction, analyze data, and refine teaching practice through professional learning and coaching.Engage Families & Community :
Build strong partnerships with families to support academic and personal success.Support Student Success Beyond the Classroom :
Serve as a mentor and role model, contributing to STEM Prep’s culture of excellence and belonging.What You Bring A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Education, Mathematics, or a related field , with a Tennessee Teaching License (endorsement in Middle Grades Math).Strong math content knowledge and a passion for helping students build confidence and conceptual understanding.A deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging —ensuring every student feels seen and supported.A growth mindset and a “whatever it takes” attitude to help students reach ambitious academic goals.Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills. 💡 Licensure Note :
