About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Duration : Part-time ongoing assignment without a set end date

Hours per Shift : 8.5 hours (2 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM)

License : Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in state of Ohio

Must-Have : Knowledge of professional registered nursing procedures; state and federal regulations, policies and procedures related to nursing

Description :

Provides professional nursing care to patients in the facility.

Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.

Makes nursing rounds and takes and records vital signs.

Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans.

Monitors restrained patients on a timely basis.

Provides immediate medical attention to emergencies.

Administers first aid and arranges transportation to a hospital if necessary.

Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals.

May schedule, assign, and review work of lower-level staff.

Participates in staff development and education.

Reviews care plans written by staff and trains or orients new employees.

Organizes and oversees emergency response teams.

Acts as a lead worker in charge of one assigned shift when necessary.

Assists in giving diagnostic health evaluations to patients.

Performs clerical tasks, including charting and documenting medications and treatments.

Completes required reports, such as incident and accident reports.

Maintains inventory of controlled drugs and medical supplies.

Arranges for out-patient clinic appointments and medical examinations.

Performs administrative tasks and conducts or attends meetings.

Serves as an instructor on occasion or participates in problem-solving teams.
