Each Year, Our Team Empowers Children And Families In Kansas, Missouri, And Beyond Through Three Key Service Areas

  • Youth & Family Support - We help youth gain independence through social and living support programs while empowering families with the skills and resources they need to become resilient and successful.
  • Foster Care & Adoption - We reunify and unite families while recruiting and providing support to foster parents and youth in foster care.
  • Education & Community Trainings - We help students achieve academic success while giving educators the tools to create safe learning environments to improve their students' behaviors and offer innovative learning opportunities to build and improve knowledge in the community.

We are seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join our team. Your role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Agency's group benefits and wellness programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, retirement plans, etc.). They assist team members with benefits enrollment and questions, verify all insurance billing, and ensure compliance with required benefit notices. Performs exemplary customer service and assistance to team members, leadership, and People Experience (PX) Team and report to our PX Manager of Compliance.

What You Will Do

  • Acts as primary contact for team member benefits questions
  • Acts as liaison for benefits brokers and team members
  • Assist with payment and reconciliation of invoices for the department.
  • Assist PX leadership in obtaining reports and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the Agency.
  • Work with brokers on all required benefits filings, notifications and reporting (Medicare Part D, 5500, SPD, etc) and ensure distribution of required notices.
  • What You Will Bring

    Our ideal candidate will need ….

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, Junior college / two-year college training and / or HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Possess the ability to be independent and self motivated to take the initiative to solve process issues to improve operational efficiencies.
  • In Addition To The Above Requirements, The Candidate Must

  • Complete Sanctuary training in a timely manner;
  • Have a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance;
  • Be able to pass State Abuse, Neglect and criminal background checks;
  • Be able to carry out the essential functions of the position with, or without, accommodation.
  • Perform all job duties in a manner which demonstrates a commitment to Sanctuary values and practices.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of cultural and ethnic diversity of clients, staff and other community partners.
  • Starting Salary : $50,000 - $55,000 (Annually)
