Our 58 bed Critical Care Unit (PODS) provides the highest level of care for the sickest patients in our area with a variety of diagnoses. Our major service lines include cardiothoracic surgery, neurology and neurosurgery. Our Critical Care Nurses care for 1-2 patients at a time. In our CCU, you will experience a fast paced environment with a supportive culture, all while cross-training on service lines and advanced therapies

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
