Job Description : Location : Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, Joint Force Headquarters, 2433 NW 24th Street, Lincoln NE Job Duties : Researches, develops, and presents highly complex adult learning opportunities involving multiple factors such as interpretation and application of complex federal / state regulations / legislation. Collaborates and coordinates development, presentation, and evaluation of training with management / program officials to assess achievement. Utilizes advanced instructional development skills (such as distance learning or computer-based training), alternative learning methodology (such as self-study modules), interactive learning approaches, methods, or techniques. Meets with key facility / division managers to develop and review training needs. Coordinates training and performance assessment, planning, implementation, testing and evaluation of educational activities. Tracks program costs, provides budget costing, and justifies expenditures; maintains inventory of training materials, supplies and equipment.
Starting hourly pay rate is $23.661
Requirements / Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : Four years' experience and / or training in planning and presenting information and / or education to others through formal training, workshops, seminars, or other instructional venues including experience developing training programs or curriculum. Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, organization communication, training and development or related field may be substituted for experience.
Other : Background / motor vehicle request check will be required prior to hire. Must have a valid state driver's license.
Incumbents in this position, after a successful probationary period, are assigned as an Agency Watch Officer on a rotational basis. When serving as Watch Officer, incumbent must be available in the event of an emergency on a 24-hour basis for a seven day period. Additionally, incumbent must be able to report to the NEMA office within a timely manner and be available to travel away from home for up to two weeks at a time. Normal overnight travel up to 10-15% of work schedule including being available to provide training weeknights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Knowledge of adult training and development; curriculum develop and training evaluation techniques.
Skill in presenting educational materials through various methods.
Ability to coordinate people and projects to meet time and cost objectives.
