ESPO Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a leading utility client in the Akron, OH area. This position will support the client's Transmission & Distribution (T&D) engineering team, focusing on budgeting, project coordination, and technical oversight of regional transmission projects. The role offers the opportunity for long-term growth within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple client stakeholders to determine budget years for transmission projects based on feasibility, budget, and need.
• Assist in creating and compiling the client's rate filing for PJM.
• Review and approve baseline budget costs for individual projects.
• Attend budget planning meetings with client stakeholders (general managers, supervisors, etc.).
• Review and process project change requests (scope, in-service date, etc.).
• Coordinate with outage planning to assemble a set of regional projects that avoid conflicts.
• Provide informal mentoring and training to portfolio engineers on T&D design and project processes.
• Review engineering estimates for accuracy and completeness.
• Interface daily with planning portfolio engineers and client management.
• Collaborate with the client's accounting group to establish financial setups for projects.
• Create analyses and reports to assist the client in tracking, coordinating, and executing projects.
• Develop baseline scopes, schedules, and budgets for release to multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) and a minimum of 3 years of electrical engineering experience, OR
