Experience in oil field, boilermaker, or industrial construction (preferred). Familiarity with construction site safety and best practices. Non-union millwright or conveyor installation experience is a plus. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (heights, confined spaces). Team-oriented, forward-thinking, and willing to travel extensively. Competitive hourly pay (based on experience and certifications). Overtime opportunities on most projects. Southern Systems International is a leader in designing and installing custom heavy-duty conveyor systems and industrial material handling solutions. Our work takes us to job sites across the U.S., and we are seeking experienced Welders / Conveyor Installers to join our traveling field team. If you have a welding background, mechanical skills, and enjoy working in a team-focused environment, this could be the opportunity for you.
What You’ll Do
- Travel nationwide to customer sites for conveyor system installation projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints; use them to complete welding and installation tasks.
- Perform stick welding (certification preferred).
- Safely operate aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, and lulls .
- Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty conveyor systems and industrial equipment.
- Work closely with a small crew — teamwork and reliability are a must .
- Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific requirements.
- Anticipate next steps and contribute to efficient project planning.
- Provide your own reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license.
