Primary Purpose of Position :
- Responsible for the general repairs and maintenance of custom machinery and mechanical equipment as well as fabrication of new custom equipment.
- Works with engineering to analyze methods and manufacturing process problems to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Performs work on gearboxes, rigging, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, screw compressors, vacuum pumps, fluid pumps, autoclaves, ovens, electrical troubleshooting, digital and analog instrumentation, and controls.
- Fabrication responsibilities include fabrication, design input, assembly, welding (TIG / MIG / Arc), hydraulic, pneumatic & controls of specialized equipment.
- Additional work lighting systems, HVAC unit freezers and light carpentry, machining, and machine building.
