Product Wording Specialist / Policy Form Analyst

This is a critical, high-impact role shaping the very foundation of our coverage. As a Product Wording Specialist, you won't just draft documents—you’ll be the technical authority that defines underwriting intent, manages legal certainty, and drives product excellence across our US Property portfolio. Experience (Minimum Requirement) :

  • 3+ years of direct experience in policy language analysis and drafting, OR
  • 2 years of drafting experience combined with 3+ years of Property underwriting experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of the U.S. Property markets and standard policy forms. Experience with admitted and surplus lines products is a significant plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex contractual concepts for varied audiences.
  • High attention to detail, a focus on accurate documentation, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • A strong client-focused, proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Excel is a plus.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree is required.

Job Duties :

You will be the central point for policy language development, bridging the gap between coverage intent and execution :

  • Develop manuscript endorsements and create bespoke policy language to meet complex, client-specific underwriting needs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME), providing technical guidance and establishing clear policy wording guidelines for Underwriters to ensure coverage certainty.
  • Collaborate extensively with Underwriting, Claims, and Legal teams to design, develop, and finalize new forms and endorsements.
  • Review competitor forms and market offerings, providing leadership with clear recommendations on endorsements and acceptability.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen the Underwriting team’s technical understanding and correct usage of policy wording.
  • Support the build-out and ongoing maintenance of the Global Policy Forms Library and Digital Workflow, ensuring all resources are current and accessible.
  • Contribute to internal bulletins and communications that provide critical guidance on policy form usage and underwriting compliance.
  • Assist with updates to manuscript policy checklists, ensuring they perfectly align with the final underwriting intent.
