Make a difference as a Credentialing Supervisor
As a Full Time Credentialing Supervisor at VillageCare, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our VillageCareMAX provider network meets the stringent credentialing and re-credentialing standards set by the NYS Department of Health, CMS, and NCQA. Your responsibilities will include the credentialing of organizational and institutional providers, as well as managing the implementation and upkeep of the provider portal. You'll facilitate the timely exchange of information with the Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) for practitioners and allied professionals, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Daily tasks will also involve quality audits of provider data, preparation of the credentialing committee agenda, and effective communication with providers regarding their credentialing status. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate closely with Operations to implement new contracts, contributing to special projects related to contracting and credentialing while ensuring that all electronic files and departmental databases are meticulously maintained.
You will report directly to the Senior Credentialing Manager, making this an exciting opportunity to impact healthcare quality.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree (BS / BA preferred) and have over 5 years of credentialing experience in a health plan, hospital, or Managed Care Organization (MCO) setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, and SQL, is crucial for managing data and reporting.
Strong planning and organizational skills will enable you to effectively oversee credentialing processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with providers and team members, ensuring clear and effective exchanges of information. Additionally, you should demonstrate the ability to use sensory skills to interact with colleagues and the public, as well as possess the manual dexterity needed to operate office equipment.
While the role may involve minimal physical activity such as lifting up to 10 lbs and remaining stationary for extended periods, your dedication to excellence will drive success in this vital healthcare position.
