Job Description

Join a forward-thinking acompany dedicated to enabling space missions with innovative vehicles. As a CNC Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in building rockets by generating and maintaining CNC programs, working with composite materials, and ensuring production goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain CNC programs and setup sheets in a high mix / low volume environment.
• Familiarize with machining composite materials.
• Define and adjust speed and feed parameters for tool life optimization in high-stakes applications.
• Suggest drawing changes to enhance manufacturability and CNC program strategy.
• Design and machine fixture tooling as needed.
• Meet productivity and production goals.
• Maintain product flow and alert management when production is impeded.
• Provide feedback and ideas for process improvements.

Work Environment

Openings are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts, with the main priority on the 1st shift. Expect to work 48-50 hours weekly, with optional Saturday work encouraged. The work environment includes both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas. The 1st shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4 : 30 PM and Friday from 6 AM to 2 : 30 PM. The 2nd shift operates Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 2 : 30 AM and Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM. Training for the 2nd shift will initially occur during the 1st shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00 / yr.
