Ramco Innovations is hiring a Business Development & Product Manager to lead growth in our pneumatic automation solutions—especially our expanding relationship with SMC, the global leader in pneumatics. This role combines business development, technical consulting, and product leadership to help customers solve problems, improve systems, and adopt cutting-edge automation.
You’ll work closely with our sales, engineering, and vendor teams to build strategies, support applications, and drive adoption of pneumatic and electric solutions across the territory.
Location : Based anywhere in our Midwest sales territory (IA, NE, KS, MO, S. IL, SD).
Primary Responsibilities :
- Identify and pursue new business across OEMs, end users, and integrators
- Act as a technical expert on SMC pneumatics and related automation products
- Support application design, product configuration, and troubleshooting
- Deliver training and demos for customers and internal teams
- Collaborate with sales, vendor partners, and internal teams at our West Des Moines HQ to align strategies and stay connected to product and customer initiatives
- Work closely with our Enhanced Services department on valve assembly projects, including design consultation, quoting assistance, and ensuring customer specifications are met
- Travel regularly throughout the territory, primarily by car
Most trips will be local or regional day visits.
Some overnight travel will be required for customer visits, factory training, or key eventsRequirementsWhat You Bring :
Experience in technical sales, product support, or automation engineeringStrong understanding of pneumatic systems and componentsFamiliarity with SMC products is a plusConfident communicator with engineers and business leaders alikeOrganized, self-motivated, and able to manage your own time and pipelineDegree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or relevant experience preferredBenefits
