REPORTS TO : Chief Clinical Officer

GENERAL SUMMARY :

The duties of a Pathologist physician include but are not limited to rendering diagnoses based on gross and microscopic examination of human tissue or fluid removed from the body and providing medical supervision of the clinical laboratory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Ability to examine various types of tissues or body fluids grossly and microscopically
• Ability to incorporate clinical information as it relates to diagnoses
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards
• Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to advise clinical professionals and / or students in area of expertise
