Power Engineering Technologist

Overview

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Power Engineering Technologist in Lakewood, CO . This is a full time, contract to hire, onsite assignment with our client.

As an Entry-Level Engineering Technologist, you will apply your technical skills to assist in designing and evaluating residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will work closely with mentors and senior staff to develop skills in client / customer design workflows, safety procedures, and project management tools. You will gain experience in electrical distribution system design, project preparation, and site visits, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Role outline

As a Power Engineering Technologist, you will :

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Apply relevant codes, regulations, and company procedures to tasks.
• Assist in preparing project materials, estimates, and drawings.
• Evaluate loading on distribution equipment like transformers.
• Learn utility construction practices for public and private lands.
• Support the creation of cost-effective, safe, and reliable electrical facility designs.
• Visit job sites to ensure projects are on track and meet deadlines.
• Maintain communication with supervisors to meet client expectations.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep organized records for each project.
• Receive mentorship and training from experienced professionals.
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
