Senior Security Systems Administrator

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience with security systems administration, IT infrastructure, or related technology fields, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Experience managing IP-based security systems (e.g., cameras, electronic access control, intercoms, sensors).
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with facilities management, operations, and school-based staff.
• Demonstrated project management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, ASIS PSP) preferred.

Will provide direction to Security Systems Administrator(s) and assigned support staff.

$78,919 - $109,697

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Security Systems Administrator will lead the design, integration, and administration of the district's technology-based security platforms. This position ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of systems, including cameras, electronic door access, intercoms, and related infrastructure. The Senior Security Systems Administrator serves as the district expert in this domain, collaborating closely with Facilities Management on physical plant elements, Human Resources on access protocols, and other district departments to ensure safe and effective learning environments.
