Alma Domestic Violence Foundation () is a nationally recognized, human services organization committed to "Educate Empower and Celebrate survivors of domestic violence and help them achieve economic and self-sufficiency". Our vision is to aid in the eradication of domestic violence globally and enlighten the public about its effects. We are in Atlanta, GA and currently seeking a Case Manager to help us eradicate this cause while supporting our rapid growth. Alma Domestic Violence Foundation has served over 3,500 survivors of domestic violence and 45,000 youth worldwide and provides support to over 35 shelters across the United States.
WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As a Full-Time Lead Case Manager at Alma Domestic Violence Foundation , you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of clients facing crises, particularly in situations of domestic violence. You will answer crisis line calls to assess immediate needs and guide clients through the intake process. Your responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and evaluating individualized treatment plans, while facilitating interdisciplinary approaches for comprehensive care. By providing advocacy services, you will help clients obtain essential resources to meet their case management goals.
You will monitor client progression, adjust plans as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Federal, State, and County guidelines. Active participation in client-related meetings, training sessions, and community events is essential, along with maintaining client data systems and preparing reports on outcomes. Your commitment to professional ethics and boundaries will be paramount in fostering a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A LEAD CASE MANAGER
To thrive as a Full-Time Lead Case Manager at Alma Domestic Violence Foundation , candidates must possess a robust skill set tailored to the complexities of supporting clients affected by domestic violence. A Bachelor's degree in human services or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is crucial, complemented by a minimum of five years of relevant experience, including two years in a domestic violence shelter or agency. Proficiency in case management systems and planning techniques is necessary, along with a solid understanding of addiction recovery processes and resources available within the Continuum of Care for domestic violence survivors.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interaction with clients and collaboration with health and human service providers. Leadership experience of at least three years is expected, along with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook is also required to document progress and facilitate communication effectively.
