Home Infusion Registered Nurse - Las Vegas

Description : \n\nThe Home Infusion Registered Nurse's role involves delivering and coordinating patient care based on their care plans.\n\nResponsibilities Include : \n

• Organizing and managing care schedules.\n
• Ensuring physicians are updated on patient status, especially when there are changes in condition or deviations from the care plan.\n
• Conducting initial patient evaluations and assessments, and formulating a detailed care plan.\n
• Regularly revisiting and updating the patient's condition and care needs, adjusting the care plan as necessary.\n
• Providing specialized nursing services that require significant expertise.\n
• Implementing preventative nursing measures.\n
• Documenting clinical progress and coordinating care, keeping the physician and other relevant parties informed of the patient's status and requirements.\n
• Offering guidance to patients and their families to address nursing and related needs.\n
• Demonstrating proficiency in patient care, adhering to professional standards and the state's nursing practice guidelines.\n
• Leading case conferences and sharing patient care plans with team members.\n
• Continually assessing and reevaluating the necessity of services.\n
• Educating patients and providing relevant materials for their care.\n
• Participating in the Performance Improvement program as directed by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.\n
• Attending educational programs and staff meetings related to job duties.\n
• Representing the agency professionally.\n
• Evaluating patient needs, executing care as per physician's orders, managing symptoms, and ensuring patient comfort.\n
• Creating and implementing patient care plans.\n
• Recording clinical and progress notes in patient charts.\n
• Setting up IV devices for patients.\n
• Administering prescribed medications.\n
• Conducting outpatient therapy infusions.\n
• Monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions and informing the physician and other concerned parties.\n
• Assessing the needs of patients and their families and providing education and instructional materials.\n
• Following AIC's and the pharmacy's patient care policies and procedures.\n
• Complying with state and federal regulations.\n
• Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.\n\nRequirements : \n
• Must have graduated from a recognized nursing school.\n
• Possession of a current RN License in Nevada.\n
• Must have a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.\n
• Requires a valid driver's license in good standing, dependable transportation, and automobile insurance.\n
• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is mandatory.\n
• Preferably over two years of experience in Home Infusion and Infusion Center.\n
• Desirable experience includes working with IV Immunoglobulin and IV Biologics.\n
• Strong interpersonal and effective time management abilities.\n
• Organizational skills adequate for maintaining precise records.\n
• Competent in directing information to the correct healthcare professional.\n
• Computer proficiency, including word processing, effective internet use, and Outlook.\n
• Current CPR certification is required.\n
