Scheduling Specialist
Position Summary
The Scheduling Specialist will receive requests for procedures, coordinate the exam times per protocol with convenience considered for the patients and departments. - Collect and validate high quality Patient Demographics, Guarantor Insurance info, Authorizations, Resource availability, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 codes . Practice phone etiquette and develop a relationship with various physician offices. Maintains open communications and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation.
Education
High School Diploma - Preferred
Experience
1-2 Years medical office terminology - Required
1-2 Years Demonstrated ability to work under stress. Ability to follow written protocol / procedures / policies - Preferred
1-2 Years Demonstrated exceptional service in-person and over the phone; think critically, multi-task and work - Preferred
1-2 Years EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and RIS (Radiology Information Systems) - Preferred
Medical Assistant / Secretary, Unit Secretary, Surgical Technician, Imaging Support Specialist or Imaging Scheduler - Preferred.
