job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor's in Mechanical, Opto-mechanical or related engineering discipline (MS is a plus). 7+ years of Mechanical product design / engineering experience required. Strong aptitude with the use of SolidWorks. Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly. Tolerance analysis experience is vital. Experience with Plastic injection molding part design, heat transfer, and FEA would all be highly desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated drive and ability to achieve goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Our client is seeking a highly skilled experienced Mechanical Engineer with a solid background in designing mechanical solutions for ruggedized portable products. The individual must have a proven track record of designing complex products using systematic methods and processes. The individual must be able to work independently and be highly skilled in Solidworks.
Essential Responsibilities Include :
- Design and Design analysis for improving proof of concept functionality, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety for instrumentation.
- Develop and execute Design Verification (DV) tests and ECOs.
