Job Title : Phlebotomist I

Location : Wimauma, FL

Duration : 6 months+, temp-to-hire

Schedule : Full-Time | 40 Hours / Week

Shift : Monday - Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM, with rotational Saturdays

Job Summary

The Phlebotomist I serves as the face of the company and plays a critical role in providing quality healthcare services. This position involves collecting quality blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing while delivering a safe, accurate, and compassionate patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
  • Provide excellent patient care by creating a trustworthy and professional environment.
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients, ensuring understanding and comfort.
  • Maintain required documentation and accurate records.
  • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection duties confidently and in compliance with protocols.
  • Follow all safety and infection control procedures.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold patient confidentiality and data accuracy.
  • Support a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

Education :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
  • Phlebotomy certificate (Preferred)

    • Experience :

  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (Preferred)
  • Proficient in keyboarding and data entry

    • Skills :

  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime
  • Ability to deliver accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced setting

    • Additional Requirements

  • Reliable, personal transportation to and from the worksite (public transport, rideshares not accepted)
  • Punctuality and full-shift attendance are mandatory;
  • Must reside within a 20-25-minute commute of the job site
