SUMMARY : The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating manual lathes and milling machines to produce high-precision components within tight tolerances. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines according to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and written instructions
• Measure and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to address machining issues and improve processes
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of machines and work area
• Conduct routine quality checks and document inspection results
• Contribute to process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Assist in other areas as needed
