Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator with a strong background in federal construction projects to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction estimating practices, especially for government contracts, and possess hands-on experience preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for a variety of commercial and federal projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of construction, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate take-offs and scope alignment.

Analyze historical data and trends to produce realistic and competitive pricing models.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate cost information.

Track bid status, manage deadlines, and follow up with vendors and stakeholders.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and risk analysis sessions as needed.

Ensure compliance with federal project requirements, guidelines, and prevailing wage standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Graduation Year Between 1995 And 2020 (preferred).

3-15+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on federal / government projects.

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, federal procurement regulations, and cost estimating software (e.g., RSMeans, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating and project management tools.

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
