What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Utilization Management Clinician works collaboratively with the county or customer utilization and the treatment team to ensure that the care provided meets state regulations and county contracts, and is appropriate for clients needs. The UM Clinician also monitors and analyzes admissions, operational resources, and other indicators to ensure compliance to utilization management standards. The UM Clinician ensure that medical record documentation accurately reflects the care provided as well as the members served response to treatment. The UM Clinician will support multiple programs in a region as assigned and attend internal and county utilization meetings, relevant clinical meetings, including treatment team.

Shifts Available :

Full-Time | AM | Shift : 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm | Days : Monday - Friday- Onsite Daily- San Leandro OR Oakland

Expected starting wage range is $94,709.91 - $128,145. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• A master's degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
• Current mental health professional as confirmed by state regulatory / licensing board (except for out of state applicants with existing licensure in good standing) as LCSW, LMFT.
• Two (2) years post masters inpatient psychiatric clinical experience.
• Thorough knowledge of psychological and social aspects and characteristics of emotional disturbances and mental illness
• Thorough knowledge of principles and methods of counseling and the accepted techniques for assessing psycho-social behavior
• Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations regarding health and social service programs, federal, state and county regulations pertaining to utilization review and members served, and pharmacology of medications and psychotropic drug treatment
• Demonstrates cultural competence and awareness in working with diverse populations, recognizing and addressing the unique needs and challenges of multi-cultural communities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
