Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Jefferson, NC 28640 (Blue Ridge Mountains – North Carolina nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : LDRP Unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am), 36 hours / week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1700 Patient Ratios : 1 : 1–2 Unit Size : 5 beds Scrubs : Navy Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Current and active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State (required at start) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Preferred certifications : STABLE, AWHONN Intermediate / Advanced Experience with Centricity and Meditech Magic electronic charting systems preferred Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage high acuity / high risk labor and delivery cases Willingness to float to MedSurg, CNA, secretary, or helping hands roles as needed Availability to work scheduled weekends Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases Monitor and document fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervening promptly as necessary Assist with deliveries, including high-risk and higher acuity cases, ensuring patient safety Accurately document patient care using Centricity and Meditech Magic systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes Float to other hospital units or roles as required to support patient care Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment in the LDRP unit Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery RN in Jefferson, NC, and make a difference in maternal and newborn care!
