Key Job Details – L&D RN Travel Assignment Location : Olympia Fields, IL 60461 (Chicago metro area) Healthcare Setting : Family Birth Center, Level II with advanced capabilities Unit Size : 19 beds, 36 staff members Assignment Type : Travel nursing job Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 19, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Dress Code : Hospital-provided scrubs Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Fetal Monitor Certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification CPR / BLS Certification Strong labor and delivery experience required Scrub experience preferred Excellent communication and teamwork skills L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and antenatal patients, including fetal monitor interpretation and vaginal exams Administer OB medications and assist with C-sections (circulating and post-recovery) Provide post-partum care and outpatient fetal monitor testing Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR and OBIX EFM systems Uphold hospital policies and foster a positive, family-centered environment Join a Gold Safe Sleep Certified and Baby-Friendly designated facility in Olympia Fields, IL.
