These principles should guide our daily professional conduct.\n\nThis role features an immersive, hands-on orientation and training program tailored for recent nursing graduates, aimed at facilitating the transition from an academic environment to clinical practice. You will work closely under the guidance of the Nurse Manager / Clinical Coordinator, engaging in a preceptor model. As a Registered Nurse (RN), your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care in accordance with unit protocols.\n\nResponsibilities : \n
- Continuously assess the patient's physical and psychosocial status throughout their care journey.\n
- Develop, communicate, and document personalized care plans that address individual patient issues and interventions aimed at achieving positive outcomes, incorporating feedback from the patient, family, and healthcare team.\n
- Implement and coordinate the care plan collaboratively with the healthcare team.\n
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan, monitor patient responses, and readiness for discharge while making necessary adjustments and referrals.\n
- Plan for educational needs based on the patient's and family's learning requirements and readiness, providing educational opportunities and documenting results.\n
- Meet performance expectations based on the Standards of Professional Behavior.\n
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to maintain seamless department operations.\n\nQualifications : \n\nEducation : Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Proficient in the use of electronic patient record systems and possess the ability to perform internet literature searches related to patient care.\n\nExperience : Prior RN experience should not exceed one year.\n\nLicensure / Certification : Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.\n\nSpecial Skills : RNs may be required to work various shifts.
