• Peripheral line management
• Phlebotomy
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs
• Heparin administration
• Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
• Management of spinal cord injuries
• Management of traumatic brain injuries
• Ortho trauma
• Total joint replacements
• Surgical drains
• High flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Nasal cannula application
• Oral suctioning
• Oxygen face masks
• Portable oxygen tanks
• Tracheostomy management
• Wound care

Description : Start ASAP.

Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical specialty.

Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

First-time travelers are not accepted.

Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1 : 6.

The unit has 36 beds.

Staff may be required to float to units of equal or lesser acuity.

Weekend shifts are required as half of the scheduled shifts.

Local travelers are not accepted from surrounding counties.

Skills specific to medical / surgical care are essential.

Experience with telemetry is preferred.

Trauma level experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidates must be able to manage patients with a variety of medical conditions.
