Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with a valid CA license and required fetal monitoring certifications for a night shift position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit
  • Night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00-07 : 00)
  • Every other weekend coverage is required
  • Must float to the Antepartum unit as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Responsible for managing nursing care for labor and delivery patients from admission to discharge
  • Duties include ensuring patient safety, comfort, hygiene, and performing disease prevention and restorative measures
  • May need to respond to medical and environmental emergencies
  • Modules are completed during orientation and recorded through e-learning
  • Only one holiday request off (RTO) will be approved per contract
  • Locals are accepted at the local rate

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years Labor and Delivery RN experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); all must be AHA and current
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel consideration
  • Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible
