Position Summary :

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring high- quality patient care. The DON manages nursing staff, develops and implements policies, ensures compliance with regulations, and works to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of nursing services. This position involves leadership, budgeting, staffing, strategic planning, and fostering a collaborative environment between the medical department and other employees. The Director of Nursing also plays a key role in developing and maintaining standards of care for our individuals, education, and training programs for staff, and advocating for the needs and safety of the individuals served.

Work Environment :

Most of your job duties will be performed from an office; however, travel to Beacon homes will be required.

Travel :

Occasional travel of about 30-40% travel.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
