Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Lease-Up Compliance Manager to lead the full rent-up process for affordable and mixed-income housing communities from initial marketing to lease-up completion and investor reporting. This role is ideal for a highly organized, travel-ready professional who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the full lottery and pre-application process in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with applicants via phone, email, fax, or in person, ensuring accurate maintenance of waiting lists as required by agencies and investors.
- Conduct eligibility interviews, process certifications, and manage lease signings in line with company policies and affordable housing regulations.
- Coordinate unit inspections with housing authorities and ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and submit internal and external reports to track project progress, identifying and escalating potential issues as needed.
- Support property teams with first-year audits, recertifications, and compliance documentation.
- Provide temporary on-site assistance during emergencies, staffing transitions, or critical project phases.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Proven experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) , Section 8 , or other affordable housing programs.Hands-on experience with lease-up activities for affordable or mixed-income properties.Solid understanding of Fair Housing laws and compliance standards.Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with RealPage software preferred.Industry certifications such as COS, CPO, SHCM , or equivalent are a plus.Must be willing to travel frequently and work weekends as required.
