The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) will

  • direct peer-to-peer
  • services
  • individuals who
  • substance abuse or co-
  • disorders. As an
  • for patients, the Certified Peer
  • Specialist will be responsible
  • providing
  • expertise and consultation
  • the
  • multidisciplinary
  • to promote a culture in which
  • individual's treatment

  • are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and
  • self-help activities. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

  • Assists patients

  • creating their personal recovery plans
  • Meets with

  • provide advice and support in accordance

  • Assists / coordinates

  • Assists patients

  • obtaining and utilizing clinic-
  • community-based services that support
  • needs
  • by identifying community resources and encouraging participation,
  • engage in healthy social activities,
  • opportunities or provide other
  • as needed
  • Observes behaviors

    Essential  Requirements :

    Education / Licensure / Certification : Have a High School Diploma or equivalent with the state-required Peer Recovery certification.
