RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work 3x12 night shifts from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM

36 guaranteed hours per week

No call requirements

Nevada RN license required prior to start

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of IMC / Stepdown experience required

Medical / Neuro ICU experience preferred

Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management

Required to pass an ECG / Telemetry exam including reading / interpreting rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination

Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)

May be required to float to other units based on organizational needs and competency level

May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an 18-bed intermediate care unit

Care for patients with severe but non-life threatening conditions including post-stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory patients

Perform moderately complex assessments and intensive therapies in a fast-paced environment

This major healthcare facility is an extremely busy Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with the volume and pace of a Level I trauma center. The 800 in-patient bed hospital is the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually. The facility features state-of-the-art technology including the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, advanced imaging capabilities, and comprehensive specialty services including neurosciences, heart and cancer care, and the region's only children's hospital.
