The Simon & Schuster Spring 2026 Internship Program will offer students an unmatched, behind-the-scenes look and learning experience within the world of book publishing. Interns will be placed within a variety of areas including editorial, marketing, publicity, and production and in those departments, they will be able to explore all aspects of the industry. While guided by a mentor, they will experience "a day in the life" of an entry level assistant. Interns will be included in all department and company meetings and will be able to contribute to ongoing projects.

No prior experience in publishing is required but a love of books and storytelling is a must.

This is a paid program and will run for 8 weeks (two days a week for a total of 16 hours / week) beginning in February.

To be eligible for the program students MUST be able to commit to working two full days a week.

Applicants MUST be a full time student in either an undergraduate or graduate program.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
