- You’re confident running manual lathes, mills, and grinders without a CNC controller.
- You enjoy solving problems at the machine—adjusting, measuring, and perfecting the cut.
What you’ll tackle
Set up and operate conventional lathes, milling machines, and grinders to meet tight specifications.Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine operations and tolerances.Inspect work using precision measurement tools to verify conformance.Tune, maintain, and troubleshoot machines to keep performance high and downtime low.Work with teammates to streamline setups and improve throughput and quality.Uphold safety procedures and keep the work area organized and clean.What it takes
High school diploma or equivalent; machining education or certification is advantageous.Experience as a conventional / manual machinist or similar position.Fluent in blueprint reading and technical documentation.Deep understanding of manual machine tools, cutting tools, and workholding.Independent worker who also contributes positively to a team environment.Sharp attention to detail coupled with solid troubleshooting skills.Knowledgeable about machining safety requirements and practices.Details that matter
