Position : OB / GYN Hospitalist & Site Director

Location : Springfield, MO

Hospitals : Cox Medical Center South & Mercy Hospital Springfield

About the Programs

Cox Medical Center South : 644-bed acute care facility with Level III NICU, MFM consults, and in-house OB anesthesia.

Mercy Hospital Springfield : Family-centered maternity care, modern birthing suites, Level III NICU, and nationally recognized for maternity excellence.

What Does an OB / GYN Hospitalist Do?

  • Care for all pregnant women who present emergently
  • Support private practice physicians & unassigned patients
  • Deliver babies, perform surgery & assist in procedures
  • Provide consultations to the ED
  • Mentor residents, medical students & nurses
  • Participate in safety drills, best practices & quality initiatives
