Location : Bridgeport, CT | Pay : $80-90k

Overview :

A nonprofit organization with a strong community presence is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage grant accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a mission-driven setting and enjoys meaningful work that supports organizational impact.

Responsibilities :

Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts monthly.

Track grant expenditures and ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Assist with annual audits and budget preparation.

Support finance leadership with variance analyses and reporting.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

5-7 years of accounting experience, nonprofit experience preferred

Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, etc.)

Comfort with State and Federal Grants highly preferred
