JOB SUMMARY :

The Process Technician actively supports the development and execution of technical solutions that drive success in the residential roofing business. This role is responsible for operating the shingle prototype line, developing process equipment, and conducting product tests that enhance quality and productivity in roofing operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adhere to all OC safety policies and procedures.
• Work safely in both laboratory and manufacturing environments, identifying and correcting hazards as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and team members to operate the shingle pilot line and achieve project goals.
• Prepare equipment and raw materials; lift and carry up to 30 lbs as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the assembly and modification of process and equipment prototypes.
• Conduct prototype testing and evaluation alongside engineers, performing both routine and non-routine shingle testing.
• Accurately document test observations and enter results into the LIMs data system.
• Clean and maintain equipment to ensure readiness for subsequent testing.
• Perform hazard assessments for non-routine tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and productivity.
