Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join our team, specializing in low voltage systems including alarm systems, CCTV, access control, intercoms, and other security-related technologies . The ideal candidate will have experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting security systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling for security and surveillance systems

Set up and configure CCTV cameras , DVR / NVR systems , and associated network infrastructure

Install and wire intrusion alarms and control access systems (keypads, card readers, electric locks, etc.)

Perform system startups, programming, and customer training

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams

Ensure all installations comply with industry codes, company standards, and customer requirements

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with installed systems

Maintain accurate documentation for each job (install reports, as-built drawings, etc.)

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members on project status and needs

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition

Follow all safety guidelines and protocols on job sites

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent (technical school certification is a plus)

1-3+ years of experience in installing low voltage systems (security, CCTV, access control)

Strong understanding of basic electrical theory and wiring practices

Proficiency using hand and power tools

Ability to read technical drawings and construction plans

Familiarity with system programming and network configuration is a plus

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders or in confined spaces as needed

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications such as NICET , BICSI , or manufacturer training (e.g., Honeywell, Hikvision, Lenel, etc.)

Knowledge of IP networking, PoE devices, and remote troubleshooting tools

OSHA 10 / 30, First Aid, or other relevant safety training
