Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for customers and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site policies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or concerns.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining awareness of surroundings and reporting suspicious behavior.
  • Follow all site-specific post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
