Job Summary

The Recovery Specialist Supervisor supports the administration and daily operation of the program by supervising Recovery Specialists on the development of treatment skills and ensuring fidelity to the evidence-based practices utilized at the program. The Recovery Specialist Supervisor supports Bay Cove's mission by ensuring the delivery of evidence-based services rooted in harm reduction and a trauma-responsive approach.

This is an exempt position.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with the multidisciplinary team to support the processes for client admission (greeting, sign-in, orientation, search and belongings processing), transfer, discharge, ongoing observation and care, while ensuring respect and dignity.
• Interact therapeutically with clients to ensure their needs are met and ensure the safety of all clients by proactively addressing escalating behaviors and physical plant issues, by monitoring activities, by conducting and documenting checks, and by contacting on-call staff when necessary.
• Schedule, supervise, and coach Recovery Specialists to ensure required staffing ratios, role competence, and consistent application of safety procedures, including wellness / safety checks.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local licensing and contractual requirements (including DPH, HUD, SAMHSA), including the creating and submission of incident reports.
• Collaborate in the administration of the program budget, ensuring sound fiscal management via direct oversight of purchasing and direct care staffing, verification of invoice accuracy, close monitoring of supply utilization, and implementation of corrective action when expenses do not align with agency objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication and coordination of care with other providers, such as DCF and DPH.
• Oversee the medication administration system and ensure that all staff are trained and complying with responsibilities of the medication administration system.
• Facilitate and promote client participation in wellness and recreational activities, as well as assisting in the facilitation of educational and recreational groups under the guidance of Counselors, Case Managers, and the Clinical Director.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervision, weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, and related professional development sessions as required.
• Provide crisis assessment, prevention, and needed intervention during scheduled hours and while on-call in nights and weekends as scheduled by providing on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
• Other job related duties as assigned.
