Endoscopy Tech (PRN / Scheduled As Needed)

Job Summary :

Endoscopy Tech provides appropriate procedure care with assisting physician and / or Register Nurse while performing endoscopic tasks. Maintains instruments and supplies as needed.

Essential Responsibilities :

• A ssist physician with p rocedural r e lated tas k s
• M onitor in st r u m ent / equip m ent for pr o cessing fo l l owing sta n dards or pr a ctice and g uidelines. Cleans, dec o n ta m inates and sterilizes endoscopes and accessories.
• Collects and obtains tissue specimens per protocol and guidelines.
• Assists RN with patient care and transporting
• P r ovides assis t ance in the order of pr i o rity and r e - prio r itizes a s designated.

Education / Experience :

Endoscopy Tech education or Certified Surgical Tech (CST), preferred not required.

1-2 years of experience preferred.

Licensure / Certifications Preferred :

(CST) Currently certified by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
